Central Bank of Liberia Eases Policy Rate to 16.0% to Support Growth
The Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), at its Q3 2026 session chaired by Executive Governor Henry F. Saamoi, decided to cut the Monetary Policy Rate by 25 basis points from 16.25% to 16.00%.
The Committee noted the continuous moderation of domestic inflation to 6.8% and steady exchange rate stability. The decision reflects the Bank's commitment to easing credit conditions for private sector investment while sustaining price stability.
